Duos with Luosha Fang, violinist & violist

Luosha and Shannon met back in 2014 at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, both studying violin with Ida Kavafian and Arnold Steinhardt. A few years later Luosha also became a violist, winning the Tokyo International Viola Competition and touring the world as part of the Pavel Haas Quartet, often traveling everywhere with two instrument cases. In 2023 Shannon and Luosha made their debut recital as a duo at Bard College, where Luosha is on the faculty. This program of duos from the 20th and 21st centuries started on two violins and ended with violin + viola.
